September 10th meeting included a presentation from Rhonda of Columbia Basin Alliance for Literacy and Darlene had a fun trivia competition. See more details on the meeting and more pictures by clicking "Read More".

Rhonda gave an interesting talk on what CBAL is about. It develops, promotes and delivers FREE literacy programs and services for people of all ages in the Columbia Basin and Boundary regions of south-east British Columbia. Rhonda brought and showed us some of the books sponsored by our Sunrise Rotary Club. They had our name and address on them. She talked about ways CBAL can help adults and young people. One of special interest is the program for seniors who want to improve their technology or other skills. See photo to the right. Darlene Kalawsky provided an entertaining rendition of Trivia and handing out gifts. Alexia Turner presented Paul Harris 6 Awards to each Rhonda Sorenson and Gregg Ziegler. Alexia then gave a small talk about the Foundation and the requirement for a Paul Harris Award.
